Mrs Ann Hall LLB(HONS) ACA
Ann Hall was born in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. She attended Glasgow University, from where she graduated in 1987 with an honours degree in Law, specialising in European Community Law. In 1987 she moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, commencing work for accountants KPMG where she was responsible for audit of public and private sector clients before secondment to their Owner Managed Business Department clients. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991.
After leaving KPMG in 1993, Ann’s career path has been in manufacturing, notably electronics and automotive sectors in Newcastle and County Durham, where she attained Financial Controller level in 1998. In 2002 she was head-hunted as Regional Finance Director for Northern Europe in the fast moving consumer goods sector.
Ann’s particular specialism within these roles is in change management; she has a track record of transforming finance teams, enabling effective innovation and delivering business wide benefits.
She became Executive Director of Finance on 22 March 2004, her portfolio includes Finance, Estates, Fleet and Facilities.
Ann is 43 and outside work plays in her local community brass band.
