About Community Justice
Major roles of the department are to reduce bureaucracy by standardising and simplifying processes in all aspects of Criminal Justice work; enabling operational police officers to return to front-line patrol by providing an efficient and effective Custody and Prisoner Handling Team service; and to work in partnership with other Criminal Justice Agencies to promote confidence in the CJS.
The Community Development section provides corporate direction and coordination in the following areas:
