Operation Equinox

Redcar and Cleveland Anti-social Behaviour Group have gained national recognition for their approach to tackling anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.

Their ‘Operation Equinox’ which was set up to address a rise in anti-social behaviour and criminal damage during the Equinox period and uses a combination of diversion, education, enforcement and prevention tactics to tackle anti-social behaviour was chosen as the 2009 regional winner for the North East.  Click here to view the press release and the press release for Operation Equinox 2010

Operation Kinetic

Operation Kinetic saw uniformed and plain clothed officers operating patrols across the Stockton district to identify young people in possession of alcohol in public.

As part of Operation Kinetic, officers passed details of anyone stopped for an offence to Stockton Borough Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour Team, who carry out any necessary follow up actions and refer people for further support and guidance where required.

Operation Sunshine

Police in Hartlepool cracked down on alcohol related anti-social behaviour by launching Operation Sunshine in July 2009, a scheme that highlighted and focused on the 200 streets across the town that had Designated Public Place Orders (DPPO’s).

Operation Scooter

Neighbourhood Policing Teams in the Middlesbrough area teamed up with officers from the Motorcycle Section to run an operation aimed anti-social use vehicles.
