Crime Prevention

Cleveland Police is committed to reducing crime and see crime prevention measures as one of the most important contributory factors to achieving this in a sustainable way.

Crime Reduction

Dedicated Crime Prevention Officers work from locally based Crime Prevention Units and can offer free, impartial advice on all aspects of:

  • Personal Security
  • Home Security
  • Business Security
  • Vehicle Security
  • Rural Security

This advice can be on an individual or group basis and is based on national good practice principles.

Working with partners and other agencies, Crime Prevention Officers can advise home owners or property developers wishing to extend or alter property on the current design measures that will aid crime prevention. They can also visit premises to conduct surveys, free of charge.
