Police staff bonuses for the year 2007/2008

1. Does your force operate a bonus or rewards system for employees? Can you outline this, for example what the various payments are and what they might be paid for?
A) Our force did have a reward scheme in place during 2007 however this was suspended pending a review during 2008.

For the following questions can you supply figures for the calendar years of 2007 and 2008. If it is not possible to give figures for calendar years, please supply figures for the past two 12 month periods for which you hold records.

2. How many bonuses were issued in each of the categories used by your force? For example some forces might pay £50 for fingerprinting dead bodies.
A) For the financial year 2007/08 12 police staff bonus' were paid and 14 police officer bonuses.No information after this as the scheme was suspended.

3. What amount (in sterling) did these bonuses equal?
A)For the financial year 2007/08 £10,390

4. Who received bonuses and what were they awarded for? (if the data protection act permits you from naming individuals , please give ranks)
A) No information is held in an accessible format as to who the bonuses were paid to and what for.
