Accidents where the police driver was deemed to be blame worthy
There are two accidents where the police driver was deemed to be blame worthy.
The first is the accident on 23/02/09 in Stockton, the driver was exceeding the speed limit and lost control of the vehicle colliding with a fence.
The second is the accident on 29/06/08 in Durham Road junction with Darlington Road Stockton the driver drove through a red light and collided with another vehicle, although at the time the police vehicle was attending an urgent detail and was using its warning equipment the driver should have treated the red light as a give way sign and give way to the other vehicle which had right of way through the green light.
