Disciplinary Cases against PSCO's

Details of the number of disciplinary cases brought against Police Community Support Officers for the past five years

Q1: The number of disciplinary cases brought against Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) in each of the past five years ending financial year 2008/09.

For 2008/9 4 such cases. For 2007/8 1 such case and prior to that year no information is held.

Q2: A breakdown of the most common causes of the disciplinary cases against PCSOs for each of the past five years ending financial year 2008/09.

For 2008/9 Confidentiality, Honesty & Integrity and General Conduct. For 2007/8 Criminal Offence. Prior to that year no information is held.

Q3: The number of PCSOs found guilty of gross misconduct for each of the past five years.

For 2008/9 we have 4 such cases and for 2007/8 one case. As you will appreciate prior to that date no information is held.

Q4: The number of PCSOs who have been reprimanded in each of the past five years.

For 2008/9 we have 3 such cases and for 2007/8 one case. As you will appreciate prior to that date no information is held.

Q5: The number of PCSOs who have been dismissed in each of the past five years.

For 2008/9 we have 1 such case. As you will appreciate prior to that date no information is held.
