Rape Statistics

Details of rapes recorded for the last five years.

Q1. Could you please supply me with details on the number of "group rapes" or rapes with three or more perpetrators recorded in your force for the last five years, or the latest figures available?

A1.For the last 5 years up to the End of March 2009 Cleveland Police have recorded 10 crimes of rape where it is alleged that the offence occurred with 3 or more perpetrators.

Q2. Could you also please supply me with details on the number of total rape offences each year for the last five years if possible, or the latest figures available.

2007/08 = 142
2006/07 = 140
2005/06 = 171
2004/05 = 143
