Number of over 65's arrested

Number of over 65-year-olds who were arrested for violence against the person crimes, sexual offences and drug offences for 2008 and 2009

Can you please send me data showing the number of over 65-year-olds who were arrested for violence against the person crimes, sexual offences and drug offences.

I would also like figures for the three types of crimes to be kept separately. I would also like there to be a breakdown within the violence, sex and drug offence categories to show the different types of arrests.

I would like to see these figures for the last two years that they have been held - the most recent years that is - and for the figures for each year to be kept separate and not added together.

Can you also please tell me how many criminal charges were brought for the crimes for each year?

Please note that when a person is arrested for an offence a custody record is created, if during subsequent interview/investigation additional offences are discovered the person will be arrested for the new offences but a new custody log will not be created.
The figures for these arrests will not be able to be recovered and is not already recorded in an easily recoverable format.
On the same merit a person when first arrested my be arrested for several offences and so these would be recorded on the custody arrest record and so appear in the below figures; additionally the same person my well have been arrested on a number of occasions within a year for different offences.

Therefore the below provided information is in relation to custody arrest records and offences recorded on the custody arrest record.
