In order to ensure that Cleveland officers are trained to the required standards, the Force has devised a rigorous training package in collaboration with the University of Teesside. The first 30 weeks of your induction training is held in collaboration with the University of Teesside, and forms part of a foundation degree course in policing.
A detailed information pack about the course content is dispatched to all applicants who have reached the assessment centre stage of the police application process.
Suffice to say that throughout your 30 week basic training you will be provided the core skills to become a competent and professional police officer. The course does involve written assignment work as part of the induction process at the University.
