Appeal to Trace Man Following Incident in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing to trace a man following an incident on Saltersgill Avenue in Middlesbrough.

At around 11.15pm on Thursday 22nd November, a man was on Saltersgill Avenue close to St Chad’s Church when he was approached by another man who was riding a blue pedal cycle. The man on the cycle punched the victim and tried to steal his mobile phone.

Police have carried out enquiries, yet have not been able to trace the victim and would like to speak to him regarding the incident.

The victim himself, or anyone else who may have witnessed the incident, is asked to contact PC Andrew Bean on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
