Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault to come forward.
Officers were called to Brotton High Street between 11pm and 11.30pm on Saturday 16th February where it is reported that an altercation had taken place, following which a 23 year old East Cleveland man was assaulted.
The victim suffered facial bruising and a fractured cheekbone and was treated at James Cook University Hospital then discharged.
Two local men, aged 27 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and they have been bailed while enquiries continue.
