Police would like to appeal for witnesses after 22 pigeons were stolen from an allotment off Rectory Lane in Guisborough between 5.30pm on Tuesday 23rd February and 8am on Wednesday 24th February.
The suspect forced the shed door open and removed five Indian Fantail pigeons, one black and white Fantail pigeon, six black Fantail pigeons and ten Wolverhampton Rollers. These pigeons are show birds, not racing pigeons and have red rings on their legs with the owner’s details on.
It is believed that the suspect would have needed a vehicle for transporting them.
Anyone who may have any further information or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area is asked to contact PC Steve Robinson of Guisborough Police on 01642 302890.
