Ducks Killed in Popular Hartlepool Park

The remains of a beheaded duck were found on the morning of Wednesday 1st September and a second duck, killed in the same way, was found on the morning of Thursday 2nd September in Ward Jackson Park, in the West Park area of the town.

Police and the RSPCA are investigating the deaths and are currently viewing CCTV.

PC Joanne Clayton of Hartlepool Police said: “It would appear that these ducks have been killed in a deliberate act of cruelty. We believe that someone must have witnessed this sickening attack and would appeal for them to come forward.”
