Hello! My name is PC Ged Kirkbright and I am a Crime Reduction Officer working in Middlesbrough. I have been in the Police Service for over 25 years and have worked in most departments.
My current role as a Crime Reduction Officer is to reduce crime across Middlesbrough and work closely with my colleagues across the Cleveland area. Our core responsibility is to reduce burglary and autocrime which we do in various ways including visiting victims of crime to offer advice and assistance.
We also work with other agencies (including the Local Authority, Partnerships and the Voluntary Sector) and are always looking for new ways to get our message on preventing crime across.
Hence, I have started this Blog and over the coming weeks and months, I will be updating these pages with advice and pointers on preventing crime and reducing the fear of crime so be sure to check back often.
If you would like to get in touch with me about this Blog, please use the feedback form.
