Deployed to assist in search for a recently stolen ambulance from Billingham. Vehicle is fitted with a GPS based tracker, and is presently on Port Clarence Road. District units following ambulance, which fails to stop. Vehicle is abandoned and one suspect makes off towards allotments. Extensive search carried out. Number of heat sources checked and eliminated. Downlink provided to control-room at their request. Area eliminated.

Whilst transiting back to airport crew hear report of persons running from a burglary in the Fairfield area. Aircraft immediately diverts to location. Crew conduct a thermal image search and locate four offenders attempting to make off, officers directed and persons arrested. Officers then redirected to location where males had been first seen and a stolen motorcycle was recovered.
