Counting Down to a Crime Free Christmas!

Neighbourhood Policing 1 (NPT1) officers will be wishing wards in and around Middlesbrough town centre a Merry Christmas as they launch a Twelve Days of Christmas operation to crack down on crime.

My message to criminals living with the NPT1 area is that we know who you are and you can expect us at your door in the coming days and weeks

Running from today (13th December) to Christmas Eve - under the banner of the Force-wide Crackdown on Crime initiative – the operation will see a warrant executed or enforcement activity every single day across the Gresham, University, Middlehaven, Park, Ayresome and Linthorpe wards.

With help from Middlesbrough Police’s District Support Unit, NPT1 will focus their efforts on suspected drug dealers, burglars and people believed to be handling stolen goods.

This activity will be backed up by police vans broadcasting the Crimestoppers number and a seasonal message to residents from their neighbourhood officers.

Sgt Neil Deluce of NPT1 said: “We want to thank residents for their support throughout the past year and to assure them that we will continue to work with and for them to keep crime down.

“My message to criminals living with the NPT1 area is that we know who you are and you can expect us at your door in the coming days and weeks.”
