Neighbourhood Police Officers are working with colleagues at Coast & Country to ensure the elderly people of East Cleveland have access to information about keeping warm this winter.
There will be several venues set up around Saltburn and Marske with tea, coffee and prize bingo arranged. The fire brigade and other partners will also be on hand to offer advice on the best way to stay warm with the onset of the cold weather.
Sergeant Barry Plumpton said: “The aim of each of these events is promote health and safety, and offer crime prevention advice to show our senior members of the community that they are not forgotten. We will point them in the right direction where they can get the appropriate advice to keep them safe and warm over the winter and festive period – and have a little fun at the same time.’’
