Police recovered what is believed to be 280 street deals of heroin, cannabis bush and resin, a high value mountain bike stolen in a burglary last November and a large sum of money after they raided a house in Middlesbrough at the weekend.
Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) officers entered the house in Keith Road on the Grove Hill estate on Sunday (7th February) as part of their ongoing work to tackle drug dealers.
Inside the address they discovered suspected heroin worth nearly £1, 500, the cash and the bike - worth £1, 300 - which has since been reunited with its owner.
Three men aged 18, 25 and 26 and a 21 year old woman were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs, on suspicion of money laundering and on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
The 18 year old man was charged and remanded to court for possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of criminal property which relates to the cash seized. The others were bailed pending forensics.
NPT Officer PC John Bonner said: “This was a great result for the team. Stamping out drug misuse and dealing remains an absolute priority for this ward and we will continue to act on any intelligence passed to us by residents.”
