Suspected Drugs Haul Worth Nearly a Quarter of a Million, East Cleveland

Nearly a quarter of a million pounds of suspected drugs have been hauled by officers investigating drugs activity in East Cleveland.

Suspected cannabis with a street value of around £230,000 has been recovered after an Operation in Carlin Howe.

Officers raided an outbuilding in the Carlin Howe area yesterday evening, and recovered the suspected Class B drugs.

Five local men – two aged 23, two aged 24 and one aged 27, and three women - one aged 21 and two aged 24, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class B drugs and are currently in police custody.

Detective Inspector Dave Mead, of Redcar and Cleveland CID, said: “We are very pleased with the recovery of the suspected drugs. This is an ongoing operation and we would urge anyone who may have information on drugs activity in the area to contact police.”
