Kickz Programme
Two Middlesbrough Community Support Officers have got on board with a community football programme co-ordinated by Middlesbrough Football Club.
Kickz is a programme which involves professional football clubs working with young people on estates which suffer higher levels of crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
The scheme can accommodate 300 youngsters, aged from 12-18 years and is now sited at Ayresome Green. Sessions take place on Friday, Saturday and Monday evenings. Participants will receive professional coaching from MFC and there will also be visits from organisations such as the Army Careers Office, and a chance to visit to the army’s training ground at Catterick.

Art of Safety 2011
A Guisborough schoolgirl’s love of birdwatching has inspired her artistic talent and won her school £1,500.
Bethany Jefferson, 12, a pupil at Laurence Jackson School, Guisborough, fought off competition from nearly 5,000 entrants to claim first prize in the Cleveland Police Art of Safety competition.
