PC Andrew Stockdale

I joined the Police in 2006 as a PCSO for West Yorkshire Police. I had not come out at this point as I didn’t feel comfortable informing everyone at the time, even though I hadn’t experienced any issues there.

After two years I transferred to North Yorkshire police as a PCSO where I remained until 2008 when I joined Cleveland Police as a PC.

I knew this was going to be a job for the rest of my life so I decided to come out. I am pleased I did as I didn’t have to hide anything from my colleagues. It has been great ever since with my team, everyone is supportive and I have not experienced any problems at all.
