Sector Areas of Focus

Crime and ASB - Newport Ward

  • Neighbourhood officers and other agencies such as Council Community Safety officers and Street Wardens are regularly conducting foot patrol in the area in order to gather intelligence, protect the public and tackle offenders.
  • Additional Police Patrols are being carried out in the area by Volume Crime detectives, Road Policing Officers and Uniformed Response teams.
  • We continue to work with our partner agencies and any social or private landlords to take action against problem tenants.
  • Members of public and residents are advised to contact police with information and intelligence in order for police to take action were necessary.
