Sector Areas of Focus

Grangetown North/Bankfields

This has been identified as an area with ASB and Criminal Damage issues which is generally youth related, the ASB takes the form of abusive behaviour and off road bikes. Through to criminal offences such as windows being smashed and graffiti. We are working closely with our partner agencies in these areas and our patrols focus on deterring groups from hanging around and getting into trouble.

Eston Hills

The main issue in this area focus’s on ASB and Fire setting, with the ASB mainly being off- road bikes, quad bikes and 4x4 vehicles. We are working closely with our partners and local residents to tackle this issue. We have patrols in the hills of both Neighbourhood officers and police off-road bike patrols, no one has permission to ride or drive in the hills. Anyone caught doing this could have their bike, quad or vehicle seized under section 59 Police Reform Act 2002.
