15-Year-Old Victim of Attempted Robbery in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy was the victim of an attempted robbery whilst riding his pedal cycle along the cyclepath at the rear of Hollis Academy in Saltersgill, Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred at around 5:10pm on Saturday 15th April when the victim was approached by a group of three youths who threw stones at him, punched him in the face and attempted to steal his bike.

One of the male suspects is described as a white, around 11 years old, between 5 ft 1” - 5 ft 2” tall, of skinny build with black hair which was short on the side, long on the top and pushed to the side. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey hoody.

A second male suspect is described as white, around 13 to 14 years old, between 5 ft 6” - 5 ft 7” tall, of skinny build with blonde hair which was short on the sides and curly on top. He was wearing a light teal puffer jacket, black jogging bottoms and blue shoes with white soles.

The third male is described as white, around 12 to 13 years old, 5 ft 4” tall and he was wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood up, a multi coloured neck gaiter and dark grey Puma jogging bottoms.

As a result of the incident the victim suffered minor injuries but he did not receive any medical treatment.
