Police are appealing for information after it was reported that a woman was assaulted outside a shopping centre in Middlesbrough.
The incident occurred at around 11:30am on Friday 6th December outside of Barnardos/Tesco Extra on Trunk Road.
A 61-year-old woman was assaulted by an unknown man when he attempted to steal her bag.
The man was described as being white, around 5’ 6” – 5’ 10” tall, aged between late 20s and early 30s with stubble, bushy eyebrows, very dark eyes and black dirt on his hands. He was described as wearing a dark tracksuit, a snood with a skeleton jaw on it and a grey waterproof jacket.
