Police are appealing for witnesses following a reported assault in Eaglescliffe.
The incident occurred at around 8:40pm on Friday 11th October next to Sainsbury’s on Durham Lane.
As a result of the incident, the 23-year-old victim’s jaw was broken in two places. He received surgery in James Cook University Hospital and has since been released.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or saw any males acting suspiciously in the area to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the event number 176160.
