Police received a report of a robbery on Marton Road in Middlesbrough yesterday, Wednesday 1st April at 3:20pm.
It was reported that an Amazon delivery driver had his car keys forcefully taken from him.
The Amazon van was tracked to Keithwood Close and within ten minutes officers had attended the scene and arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and theft and he remains in custody.
The van was recovered as well as some suspected stolen parcels.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information regarding the incident, or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the van around the time of the incident to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 050257.
