Police are appealing for information after a robbery occurred at McColls on the High Street in Brotton.
The incident occurred at 8am this morning, Thursday 9th April, when two men entered the store armed with weapons and stole two tills containing over £200.
One of the males was wearing a black and white motorbike helmet, a red coat with black lining on the hood, dark tracksuit bottoms, trainers and pink gloves.
The second male was wearing a white crash helmet, a black tracksuit top with a white motif on the left side, a blue jacket and dark bottoms and gloves.
It is believed the males made off towards Railway Terrace and the ‘Cattle Arch’ following the incident.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with information regarding the males responsible to contact Detective Sergeant Dan Cook on 101 quoting 054901.
Police are also appealing for anyone who may come across the tills, which may have been disposed of, to also come forward.
