Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Middlesbrough.
The incident occurred on Faraday Street, Middlesbrough at around 11:40pm on Sunday 2nd February.
It was reported that an unknown male approached the 76-year-old victim on a pedal bike and attempted to take belongings from his pockets. During the incident the victim suffered facial injuries as a result of falling to the floor. He attended James Cook University Hospital and has since been released.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact DC Brian Lightowler on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the reference number 018763.
