Officers are warning the public after potentially dangerous railway detonators were stolen from a compound on Boathouse Lane in Stockton.
The burglary occurred overnight on Wednesday 22nd January into Thursday 23rd January.
The 8-10 yellow detonators could potentially be dangerous in the wrong hands and officers are warning anyone who may come into contact with them to be vigilant in order to stay safe and avoid any injuries.
Diesel and high powered lighting equipment and other items were also stolen.
Anyone who may have been offered the items for sale or anyone with information regarding the burglary is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 011770.
