Police are warning members of the public to be vigilant after officers have noticed an increase in thefts from gardens.
Between the 1st and 11th June, there were 26 thefts from gardens reported to police in Parkend & Beckfields, Brambles Farm & Thorntree, Berwick Hills and Pallister Park.
Since the beginning of this year, Longlands & Beechwood has been targeted 28 times with the highest number of thefts being in May.
It is reported that thefts of fence panelling and garden equipment are amongst the items that have been stolen.
