Police are appealing for witnesses and information, following a serious collision involving a black Audi and a motorcycle in Middlesbrough.
The incident occurred at around 5.50pm on Thursday 22 December on Marshall Avenue in Middlesbrough.
Both the male rider and female pillion passenger on the motorcycle suffered a number of injuries and were taken to James Cook University Hospital. They both remain in hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Audi, a 38-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or CCTV footage to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 229602.
