A man has been sentenced today, Tuesday 20th December, at Teesside Crown Court following an incident on Boxing Day 2021 when a man was shot in the leg.
Ricky Dull, aged 34, was sentenced to 11 years and 1 month following the incident where he shot a man in the leg in Stockton on Boxing Day 2021.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Motson said: “CID carried out a full and thorough investigation into this incident, with Ricky Dull remanded in custody whilst he awaited sentencing, preventing him from harming anyone else.
“This was a targeted attack on a man on Boxing Day in broad daylight. Dull could have caused very serious injury and I’m pleased with the sentence handed to him today. He clearly poses a danger to others.
“Such offenders will be dealt with robustly and put before the courts to be brought to justice.”
