Police are appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage following an aggravated burglary in Middlesbrough.
The incident occurred at 4.13pm on Thursday 29th December at an address on Nesham Road, Middlesbrough.
It was reported that five men armed with weapons smashed windows and forced their way inside the address.
Once inside, it is believed the men assaulted a female occupant and caused further damage inside the property before making off empty handed in a blue coloured vehicle.
The woman was left with facial injuries.
The men are described as all wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or any dashcam footage which may assist police to contact DC Yasmeen Hussain at Middlesbrough CID.
