A cannabis farm has been seized in Middlesbrough after neighbourhood officers carried out a warrant on Costa Street.
Cannabis plants were located in the bedroom and loft of a property yesterday, Thursday 13th April.
The plants, which could potentially be worth up to £30,000 were seized.
A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and he has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Sergeant John Sproson said: “This farm was smaller than others that we have seized, but we will always respond to reports of cannabis farms due to the fire risk posed by the electricity supplies being tampered with and the possibility of criminal exploitation to others.
“Anyone who has information regarding drugs activity is asked to contact us on 101 so that action can be taken. Anyone who wishes to report anonymously can contact Crimestoppers online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or call 0800 555 111."
