Detectives appeal after robbery, Middlesbrough

Detectives are appealing for information after a man in his 20s was robbed of his phone and trainers in Middlesbrough.

It happened on Sunday evening, 27^th August, at approximately 6pm at the junction of Overdale Road and Crossfell Road as the victim was walking to the local shops.

He was approached by a group of young men, one of whom asked him to hand over his phone.  The suspect then took the phone along with the victim’s On running Cloudswift trainers which are black and grey with white soles. 

The men then walked away into a housing estate.

The suspects are described as being in their 20s, in black clothing and wearing snoods and balaclavas.  One was on a dark grey electric bike.

Anyone with information or doorbell/dashcam or cctv footage which could help our ongoing enquiries is asked to contact Middlesbrough CID via the 101 number.
