Coggy has been out and about visiting children taking part in the Holiday Activity and Food Groups and Hartlepool Outreach Services at the Belle Vue Centre in Hartlepool.
The scheme enables children to take part in different activities and receive a hot meal at lunch time during the school holidays and PC Coggins was invited along to deliver some engagement sessions to the children on Tuesday 15th August.
PC Geoff Cogigin said: “During the first session, I delivered a talk on antisocial behaviour and the dangers associated with vaping to 30 children aged between 5 and 11.
“The children then had an opportunity to try on police uniform and kit and to see inside of the police van.
“Then 20 youngsters aged between 11 and 16 took part in an open discussion about antisocial behaviour and vaping.
“The kids were great, really engaged and involved in the discussion and I had a fab time meeting everyone.”
