A second man has been charged in connection with a suspected drug deal in Middlesbrough.
Following the reported incident on Essex Street on Tuesday 22nd August, officers have now charged a 44-year-old man with permitting the use of premises for supply Class A drugs and possession of cocaine.
The man is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Thursday 24th August.
Police dog Benji helped to recover suspected crack cocaine, phones and cash at a property on Essex Street on Tuesday and two men were arrested at the scene.
A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and he was bailed whilst enquiries continue.
An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with supplying a class A drug and possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday, Wednesday 23rd August.
