A man aged 24 had been charged with the theft of a motor vehicle and a man aged 37 has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, driving with no insurance or a license and obstructing/ resisting a constable in execution of duty.
Both males were charged by Stockton IRT and they will appear at Teesside Crown Court today (1st August).
The charges were made in connection with a Mercedes Sprinter Van which was reportedly stolen from a property in Thornaby.
A Road Policing Officer in an unmarked police vehicle located the reported stolen van being driven in the early hours of yesterday morning (31st July) and it was seized.
