Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Billingham where a cyclist had his bike stolen.
The incident happened at around 5:20pm on Thursday 23rd November on Station Road, near to the junction of Cotswold Crescent.
A black vehicle made contact with a 29-year-old male cyclist, before five males wearing balaclavas emerged from the vehicle and attacked him, then stole his bike – an orange coloured Carerra Vengeance.
The man suffered facial injuries and possible internal injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police are particularly interested in speaking with a woman who shouted at the suspects to stop.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects or anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the vehicle is asked to contact Stockton CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 231995.
