Detectives Investigating after Property Set Alight in Eston

Detectives are investigating an incident in Eston whereby a property was set alight before a vehicle made off from the scene.

The incident happened on Wordsworth Road in Eston around 9:20pm on Wednesday 27^th December.

A bright orange/yellow Ford Focus ST is reported to have been parked in the street for a couple of minutes before two people exited and approached an address, where they smashed a ground floor window and caused the property to be set alight, before making off in the Ford Focus.

A resident who was inside managed to extinguish the fire before emergency services arrived at the scene.

Thankfully, no one was injured.
