A 35-year-old man has been arrested in the Thornaby area after a vehicle stop led to the seizure of suspected class A drugs and a weapon.
Officers stopped a Range Rover in the Thornaby area around 6:30pm on Sunday 10th December, and a search of the vehicle led to officers finding bags of suspected cocaine, a baseball bat and balaclavas.
A subsequent search of an address found further evidence of suspected drugs activity.
A man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in police custody at this time.
