A 32-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of today (Saturday) just minutes after police received a report of an attempted break in to a Land Rover Discovery in the Galley Hill area of Guisborough.
Officers from Guisborough and Greater Eston Neighbourhood Police Teams (NPTs) were conducting patrols nearby and they were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The man was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference, and he was interviewed then bailed while further enquiries take place.
Acting Sergeant John Eeles from Guisborough NPT said: “Your neighbourhood teams will continue to work proactively throughout the festive season - and beyond - to reassure Guisborough residents, and tackle any offending taking place in our community.”
