During a plain-clothes operation in Stockton town centre on Saturday evening, officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) arrested a man in connection with a number of retail thefts.
The 45-year-old was arrested and charged with 11 thefts from a shop, common assault and possession of Class A drug. He was also found to be on prison recall.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Monday (1st January 2024).
