A kind-hearted police staff member has collected nearly 50 shoeboxes and gift bags full of Christmas treats which will be distributed to local families who may be struggling.
Vana Stephens, who works for Cleveland Police’s Information and Communication Technology Department, issued an appeal to fellow police staff and officers a few weeks ago and colleagues were quick to offer a huge variety of new and age-appropriate toys for girls and boys, as well as toiletries and warm hats, scarves and gloves for youngsters and adults.
