Officers from Middlesbrough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and officers from the Road Policing teams conducted a joint operation to tackle illegal driving yesterday (20th December).
Following proactive patrols, officers stopped a number of vehicles and seized one unsafe vehicle from the roads. The male driver was summonsed to court.
A separate traffic stop also resulted in the arrest of a 53-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug and he has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers are continuing their commitment to keeping the roads safe and are encouraging people to report any concerns or issues to Cleveland Police on 101.
