Police in Guisborough are investigating a report of a serious sexual assault in the early hours of this morning.
The incident took place at around 3am in an area between Guisborough High Street and Rectory Lane. A police cordon was in place in this area this morning whilst forensic teams carried out enquiries.
The suspect is described as white man in his early 30s, around 5’ 9” tall with short brown hair and a stubble beard.
The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses in the area or anyone with dash cam footage to call 101.
