We think Police Dog Moose deserves an extra helping of turkey and gravy on the Big Day after helping officers who were investigating a report of a stolen vehicle.
An alleged 2 in 1 burglary from a house on The Fairway in Eaglescliffe in the early hours of Thursday (around 1.40am on 21st December) saw a whole host of officers from Dog Section, CPSOU, armed response and response teams swamp the area.
And shortly afterwards, the Kia which had been reported stolen was found in the Pottery Wharf area of Thornaby.
Several people were seen running from the area at which point Moose was deployed, detaining a 16-year-old boy who will be questioned.
Enquiries are continuing and we’d appeal for anyone with information, private CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch.
Please contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 248802.
