Ten arrests have been made in connection with a report of an altercation in Stockton overnight.
Around 1:55am today, Wednesday 6th December, a report was received of an altercation involving males with weapons on Bowesfield Lane/Northcote Street.
A 31-year-old man suffered an injury to his head believed to be caused by an air rifle, and he remains in hospital whilst receiving treatment. His injuries are not believed to be serious.
Ten males were arrested in connection with the incident, and all remain in police custody at this time;
A male aged 31 was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
Males aged 30, 28, 17, 20, 25 and two aged 18 were arrested on suspicion of section 18 GBH with intent.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 GBH with intent plus possession with intent to supply class C drugs.
An 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent.
Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number 239343.
